Perfect accomodation in the new town - right next door to Marrakech Railway Station and therefore ideal stopoff point before catching the 7am train North. Not particularly atmospheric, follows the typical Ibis Hotel / Accor identikit model but very comoftable and for a high-standard hotel very cheap. Also only a five minute walk from the centre of the comparitvely upmarket Gueliz shopping district. Nice to have a large swimming pool too in the hot weather and the buffet breakfast is not too bad either. On the whole its a Western Hotel with not much atmosphere, but a very cheap western hotel, a nice place to relax, especially after a week staying in the heart of the chaotic Medina!
Location - perfect for trains and the New Town. Theme: HotelPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: Next door to ONCF Rail station.Directions: Ville Nouvelle.

After staying at Formula 1 in Paris and Ibises all over Morocco, this was a breath of fresh air. Located a good 20 minute drive outside of Fes, Moulay Yacoub is the best buy in Morocco for me. For those that want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Morocco's cities and relax in a natural setting, surrounded by mountains, this is it. Thermal springs are the big draw here for Moroccans seeking health cures. The public bath and private spa are just down the hill (a very steep hill) from the hotel. The spa visit was great. We took a package deal for 55.00 American dollars each that consisted of 4 therapies including full body massage. The cost of the hotel was 77.00 dollars a day. This is one place I would revisit if the opportunity presented itself again .

Casablance Plaza was sold as Crowne Plaza on www.asiarooms.com; some serious false advertising here as it is no longer Crowne Plaza. A musty old hotel with snooty service. Royal Mirage Merrakech - fabulous pool & location, ho-hum rooms, spotty service, over priced, I will stay in private Riad next visit Golden Tulip Farah Rabat - the best of the bunch; first rate room and service; relatively pricey Royal Mirage Fes - crap service, poor location, nice room, no hot water in the evening, I felt cheated for sure and think Royal Mirage sucks big time
Casablanca Plaza is in relatively good location, had a decent breakfast & rooftop pool Royal Mirage Merrakech did have a sweet pool Golden Tulip did have most modernly equipped room I had in Morocco Royal Mirage Fes - no qualities I recognized Theme: HotelPrice: US$80-120 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: ashc;ahj

An all-inclusive hotel in Agadir, Morocco. This hotel had the BEST food of any all-inclusive I've ever been to! The spread was endless! Fresh fish, Italian cuisine, Moroccan cuisine, American cuisine and more every night! They hotel sent a bus to pick us up at the airport. When we arrived at the hotel after a 30 minute ride, they gave us the red carpet treatment, literally! It started with a long greeting line with belly dancers, a horns section, and at the check in desk they offered each of us mint tea! How many places do that?! The rooms were spacious, the grounds were immaculately manicured and the staff was delightfully helpful at every turn. The resort itself is done up in traditional Moorish decor. The beach was wide and an endless stretch down to the south where you could walk to sand dunes that were 40'-70' high and to the north a hill that had inscribed in it, "God, Country & King" in white. The beach was busy with caravans of camels, women in traditional black burqas, while European women were sun bathing topless and we were ordering alcoholic beverages at the bar. Talk about worlds colliding but everyone got along, it was beautiful! I couldn't tell you what it costs normally because we went as travel agents and our price was off the wall CHEAP ($330 for R/T air + one week at the all-inclusive hotel)!
Big pool with an attached bar, full spa center, clay tennis courts with lights for night play, stores on premises to buy all kinds of goodies, on site Disco (the DJ played our CDs, so I let him keep the ones he liked), one day/evening they have local folks come in and set up stands around the pool selling everything from dates to hand woven rugs. They have excursions you can setup directly at the front desk but we got a little adventurous and found a local guide outside the main entrance who we hired to take us around Agadir, Kasbah in Taroudant, to a Sooq to buy rugs and into the inner country by the High Atlas Mountains. It was cheaper hiring our own guide (Abdullah with his 1960's Range Rover) than what the hotel was offering. He was such a nice guy, one night he took me to his home village for fresh OJ. He was showing me the remnants of the 1961 earthquake which nearly destroyed the entire city.
