Very reasonable price. Clean rooms with sinks. Shared showers and toilets superb. Very helpful staff.
Safe and secure for female travellers.
Excellent location just round the corner from main square (Moulay Hassan) near the port.
Well we got pretty good service - though at off peak time of the year might not be as relevant as what itd be like in peak season when accommodation is highly in demand - ie i booked a few days before and got good information from english speaking staff but on the day of arrival we were running late (we were on moroccan time by then!!) as we were too busy shopping and seeing marrakech to leave as early as planned plus still had a stopover at Chichoua where i knew there was a good 24 hour place for eating and watering etc!
I didnt call till 8pm for a planned 4pm arrival and it was no problem, our room was still ours - but whether youd want to take such things for granted in the height of the tourist season i doubt would be such a good idea - we arrived at 930pm, got shown a choice of rooms and our heaviest bags carried up the 4 or 5 flights of stairs for us.
then we got invited to join in the tagine that the guy on duty was about to have so that was a nice hour or so's company with an Essaouirian.
Unique Quality: Notiing that the colour schemes in the rooms are pretty bright and almost garish (each room its own colour scheme - including bright orange, green, yellow etc - ours was a lighter toned down thankfully) but that aside the main interior has a nice traditional moroccan character and the place is very clean, staff are very pleasant and obliging - pretty good views from the roof and with breakfast included for 258 dirham for 2 the stay is very very good value to stay at a town like Essaouira.
Its in a very handy and central location only a few minutes walk each way to the Skala du Port or Skala Du Ville and streets of the medina, and therefore very handy to good cafes and restaurants and shopping. We were able to park with guardian overnight parking only about 5-10 minutes away - men with trolleys available if you wish for luggage carriage but we were fine with our wheely cases.
Directions: we parked near Bab Es-Sebaa, thru the bab follow the main path until you get to the square with Patisserie Driss ,next to it is an alleyway to the right, through that round to the left youll see Cap Sim ahead. Ask as you along if yu get lost!
