Nice place, but far out of town

From my point of view, there were two disadvantages about the Riad Kasbah Zineb: it turned out to be much further out of town than I expected (a good fifteen minutes by car), and it was very, very cold at night. It was my fault that I hadn't noticed the first of these on the website, though, and although the cold was really appalling (draughty windows, skimpy bedclothes, & draughty doorways), I was there in winter and I don't suppose that would be a problem at any other time of year.

On the plus side, the people who run it are very kindly (they made up a fire in my room), the Kasbab is a beautiful building (modern white Kasbah-style, with towers, a large garden and a huge swimming pool), the food that they cooked me there was as good as I got anywhere in Morocco (and you can get a beer), and being out on its own in the country it's very peaceful. There's a wonderful village a few miles down the road which I enjoyed visiting to have a tea with old Berber men in the evening, and watch the world. (For surfers, I believe the beach is very close.) The rooms are large, and the furniture is perfectly decent.
