Hotel Xaluca Boumalne: Beautiful 4 star hotel

Stunning - beautiful - wonderful decor - full of stunning items from Morocco and probably sub-sahara influenced - a converted kasbah still has the aspects of being in an ancient castle but modern and contemporary additions such as swimming pool up on what was the roof and now is also the wine bar and huge restaurant.

My battery went flat and Id made the disastrous mistake of leaving the charger behind - we since found some primitive thing down in a Boumalne photo shop, nowhere else in any place we looked!, but amazing invention I guess that could take any sized battery but took forever to charge - but at least it worked but too late for Xaluca - will be back here though!

Otherwise the rooms and beds, bathroom, balcony with beautiful view over the pink houses of Boumalne and the palmeraie below - along with snow on the top of the mountain behind!...blue skies, was all beautiful.

Chose the all inclusive with evening meal and breakfast - they were as if we were kings - buffet style for both in huge metal domed serveries - lots of good dishes to choose from and lots of vegetables - the breakfast was awesome with so much to choose from...including delicious orange juice - and lots of waiters standing around in impressive uniforms but didnt actually do anything to help - they couldve served me at least the tea and coffee (which dribbled all over the place from the jugs they were in)

2 comlimentary bottles of water in the mini bar - the rest ie the bottles of alcohol werent!

There are beauty treatment services available as well - massage, manicures, facials...prices that werent unreasonable

Wifi included, good speed - swimming pool - beautiful renovations and fixtures to make all this definitely 4 star - if the staff were more helpful it couldve felt like 5 star! - the wine bar was very elegant and posh - the restaurant was decorated like a kings banquet hall with the most amazing chairs....
Beautiful views from all directions - lots of windows out - really did feel like an Arabian night!

I got a big discount with meals included but normally it is 900-1200 dirham a night depending on your choice of room

Kasbah de la Vallée: simple and nice hotel in a great location

I spent a night in Kasbah de La Vallée in May, during my trip in Morocco. The hotel is quite simple, but perfectly clean, and the location, at the beginning of Dades gorges, is awesome. The hotel is actually - up to now - the last one before the gorges, and it looks over the river, with a starting point for hiking. Some nomads were watering their goats while we were having breakfast.

Beautiful place, the best location. It was like a kind of dream.
