the old synagogue
by call_me_rhia
Inside the Casbah Taorirt you will be able to visit the old synagogue, which has now been turned into a shop. However, the original structure and many of the odl objects that belonged to the synagogue, have been preserved by the shop's owner. Don't worry about asking for directions, everyone will try to lead you there.
The man is a weaver - and in all fairness he was a very nice man, and was not insistent in trying to sell his beautiful rugs. He showed me the synagogue and explained patiently what the old and rusty objects he had on display were used for.
On the way to Ouarzazate (part VI)

And more Kasbah, remember...you are in the Kasbah Country!!!
On the picture :
It is still a kasba belonging to the family of Glaoui, located on a piton, above a ksar, between a wadi and a palm plantation. The ksour are surrounded by an enclosure with only one door of entry and include a series of attics.
Ouarzazate
by TheLongTone
Not that I spent enough time in Ouarzazate to really have anything to say about the place: I arrived late afternoon, found a hotel within spitting distance of the bus station, took a walk to the other end of town, walked back via dinner. The next morning I got a grand taxi to Zagora. Returning, I didn't even stop for a tea. A bus to Marrakesh that was about to depart.
