hotel zaghro is located about 2 kilometers from the center of ouarzazate and that is really the only bad thing i have to say about that place.
it's a very fine budget hotel with ok rooms and a very nice courtyard with a swimmingpool.
the staff there was friendly and we also booked a desert trip through their travel agency that we were very happy with.
if you plan to head out in the desert from ouarzazate then i would recommend that you stay there.

Very welcoming hotel on the road to the Sahara. Very clean and the staff are so polite. This hotel has a small pool, you can even have your dinner around it. Prices go up to about 270 Dh for a double with A/C, 200DH without, breakfast included.
UPDATE APRIL 2010 - Double room is now 250 Dh inc b'fast and 300 Dh if the room overlooks the pool.
Evening meal menu is at 50 Dh.
ouarzazate is a good place to start if you plan to visit the desert.
we booked a trip though the hotel zaghro where we had our own pajero jeep with a driver for 3 days.
the trip we bought included two nights stay in desert camps and cost us just over 200 euros per person.
it was nice to have the freedom of having our own car with a driver.
that way we could stop when we anted, but also go off the road and in to the desert without getting lost.
it was a really intersting trip that i would highly recommend.
