Come with me to the [converted] kasbah!

We loved this place! The service was low-key, efficient, and friendly, and although not the cheapest place we stayed at, we felt that it was worth the price. It was built, I believe in the 1930's or 40's.

Book ahead because it's extremely popular. We'd pre-booked our first night, and were in a large double with ensuite for 620dh including demi pension for two people (470 with just breakfast). We decided to stay a second night and had to move to a smaller double in a tower room on the roof. Very small, but very charming, with two window seats. The shower and toilets were just across the roof. That costs 454dh with demi-pension (254 with just breakfast). They offered a 15% discount for cash, which they applied to the full cost of the dinner if you took the demi-pension.

Unique Quality: Very, very interesting -- the kasbah's character has been lovingly maintained, and there are models of various ksours and kasbahs on display throughout the hotel. Don't be put off by the slightly hard to find and slightly spooky-looking entry way. Remember, this was a kasbah!

Both our rooms had two windows. There were reading lights and a closet, and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel had a lovely pool area with tables and chairs where you could be served your meals if you liked. Otherwise they were served in a very comfortable covered area which opened onto the poolside. Very romantic. Professional but friendly service in the dining room. Wine was available.

There was free secured parking around the corner, but it's of course customary to tip the "guardien" (who also washed our windshield for us).

The website shows some rooms, but doesn't do the pool area justice. It's really quite lush.
