Hotel Kenzi Saghro: High on the hill

The Hotel Kenzi Saghro was my favorite hotel of the trip. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was good, and the view was wonderful. Two restaurants, bar, parking.

Unique Quality: The hotel is at the top of a hill, and its terrace has a panoramic view of the town and the Todra River valley. It also has a large pool. The terrace was a great place to sit in the evening.

the Palmeraie House: Best guesthouse in whole Tinerhir!

We stayed 4 nights in this small berber guesthouse. They offer two kinds of rooms. Three rooms have their own toilet and shower. The four other rooms are down in the berber house, that makes them more cool. These rooms have no own bathroom, but a shared one. As we were the only guests in the guesthouse that was not a problem. We'd choosen the simply rooms, just because of the heat. The lovely and spacious rooms are very clean, and the beds are comfortable. Our kids had their own rooms, just opposite our one. The lower rooms open up to a lovely open air courtyard whith tiled benches. We spend ours relaxing here. Just reading a little bit, or playing a game. We drunk liters of berber whisky (mint tea) which tasted great.
We payed 300 dirhams for a room with half board. The dinner was just unbeleavable! These guys can cook like a four star restaurant cook! We enjoyed every single meal. Here we had the best food of whole Morocco!!!
The rooms upstairs with own bathroom are 400 dirhams per room, and even more comfortable. None of the rooms has airconditioning, but you don't need it actually.
On the roof they have a berber tent, you can have dinner there or just relax.
From the Palmeraie House you can walk directly into the Palmeraie. It's 7 km to Tinerhir, or 7 km to the Todra Gorge to the orther direction. The owners Jamal and Rachid can organise a guide for you if you are afraid to get lost in the palmeraie.
They can also organise a cooking course, if you are intrested in it. Transport or other things can be arranged by the owners. They are glad to help you.
Reservations are handled easily. Both english and french are spoken.
Strongly recommended!

Unique Quality: The great hospitality was overwhelming. Both owners, Jamal and Rachid are very kind, they like to talk and make jokes. Also for the kids they did the best they could.
They presented games for them, walked with us to a swimming pool and river for a cool dip.
Jamal also made some changes in the food, as our kids are bad eaters.
Therefore I would recommend this lovely guesthouse to anyone going this direction.

Auberge Cafe Restaurant El Mabrouk: For a Morrocon way of living, with great food

The guesthouse is nice and clean, with very nice hostess. Self made breakfast, lunch and diner, if you want to drink alcohol, the buy it for you.
Clean toilets, and showers.
You can eat inside, or outside in the patio.

Unique Quality: Its on the main road to tinerhir, about 7 min. walk to the centre.
The view from the Guesthouse over Palmstreet is wonderful.
