Good value hotel in the Ville Nouvelle

Though not as nice as Hotel Ibis, Hotel de la Paix was much cheaper and we chose it for our second night in Fes. You certainly won't need to reserve a room in advance anywhere in Fes in February as everywhere we tried had vacancies. This hotel was the most appealing as a couple of the other places tried to get us to order a tour-guide as well as take a room. Also, it was quite good value: the normal price for a double here is about 380 Dh but we got an out-of-season special for 290. Hotel de la Paix also has a good restaurant downstairs.
