HOTEL OK, BUT FAR FROM MEDINA

    by

The hotel Wassim was ok. clean, cheap (20euros x pax included breakfast) but was to far from medina (old town), which is the best atraction of Fes. we came back after 6 days and I would recomend you another hotel located in medina. the last one was absolutely fantastic! (info missing)

Unique Quality: *Far from medina (you need a taxi ride, 20dhr)

Just a short walk to Modern Fes

    by

This was a pleasant hotel to make up for much of the hassle of Fes. The hotel staff will ensure you have a safe stay in Fes. Ask for their advice if you need it.

    - Clean room and bathroom.
    - Double rooms have 2 twin beds, which is standard in Morocco.

    Unique Quality: Great Hot Buffet
    Excellent Hotel Staff

More about Wassim Hotel

I stayed at the Hotel Wassim...

by Sheri_Z

I stayed at the Hotel Wassim which is in the Medina Nouvelle, or the modern city. It is a cozy 4 star hotel. It has a cute bar, a very good lunch, and you can get a room with half-board thus covering lunch or dinner.

One person in our group had something taken out of the room, but remarkably, and after much fussing, it re-appeared on the last day. So I would advise keeping yr. valuable with you.

I like the idea of staying in a locally-owned hotel, but some might prefer the Sheraton Fez which is just a block away from this.

For those really rolling in money, I would recommend trying the Dar El Ghalia, after our visit there, (see my restaurant entry).
This is for the Wassim - I think it equates to about
$69 a night if I remember correctly (for a double).

The Dar El-Ghalia seemed very expensive - but no rates are listed on its brochure,
