I agree with Michel Tatra that diving is not very popular in Morocco. However, when visiting Essaouira, I remember that I have seen ads for diving.
Have a look at http://www.moroccotime.com/essaouira_uk.htm

driving is fine in morocco. i've driven all over. really its no problem and a wonderful way to the this country. rental cars are widely available and many people bring there own over on the boat. conversely the buses and trains are very cheap plentiful and comfy as well as the "grand taxis" have fun.

i don t know who told you that
but i am pretty sure it is not
or it is but people dive anyway
i know for fact that it is possible in the tetouan region in the north
look for club med there
there are to club meds
i think the best is cabo negro
if you can afford more than that
check the sofitel in marina smir
in the same region
another possibility is agadir
the accomodations are more affordable
but am not sure you can dive
just contact the hotels and ask

Places to Visit

by earthflyer

Sorry, made a mess of the last posting.

HI I'm I returning back to Morocco for Christmas & New Year and this time I will be travelling between Tangiers & Algeria and back again. I want to visit Tetouen, Chefouen, Al-Hoceima, Nador and Berkane but are their any other places worth checking out in this part Of North Morocco apart from The Spanish Enclaves As I am 100% sure I will not be return to the north again after this trip, I have 2 weeks to Explore North Morocco.

This makes sense now.

thanks earthflyer

In the same region you could see Assilah which is 30mn from Tangiers. On the road between Ceuta and Tetouan the beautifull places of Martil, Cabo Negro, Smir, M'dik.
Why not Larach situated 88km from Tangiers. It will be quite cold and rainy in december(specially Chaouen)

UK TV Crew Heading to Morocco

by RapidBroadcast

Hi there!

Just wondering if anyone out there could help me out...

I'm currently researching a travel show for UK which is focusing on "Nightlife" in a number of cities around the world. We are heading to Northern Morocco next week to film a show there (Covering Tetouan, Tangier and Marina Smir), by all accounts there's not a heck of a lot of Nightlife available, however, I'd be very interested to hear about what is there, ie. the best bars, restaurants, clubs etc.

I'm also interested to find out about what other kinds of activities people indulge in once the sun drops. Feel free to email me at davids@rapidbroadcast.co.uk if you have any suggestions at all, cheers for you help!

Alcohol is not allowed in Arab countries (unless it's Tunisia and some holiday resorts in hotels), I guess in Tangier you may have some hard time finding what you're looking for (bars, night clubs), you may check out hotels...
kind regards

Hi,
That's not true, and in that case, i bet u've never been to Morocco, and wait until someone asks about Austria then you can post your point of view.
There are bars all over morocco and everybody can consume alcohol as long as he's old enough to do so.
In Tangier, there are a lot of night life activity. a whole bunch of clubs around the beach, and there is also a state of the art Casino at the Movenpick hotel.
In Tetouan there's not much to do over there. But, a few miles away, in Marina Smirs area, you can find some of the best and classiest clubs in Morocco.
Meanwhile, you should consider Marrakech and Agadir, that's where night life really exists in Morocco.

if you consider drinking alcohol as a 'move forward to civilization' ...(?)
I did not really notice Moroccans eagerly indulging in such activities.
And neither have I heard of tourists traveling to Morocco for a clubbing
holiday...
