This hotel is located in Ville nouvelle, It has 7 floors with 5 rooms @ each floor. It is a very good 3 star hotels with a cable TV and a private bath room. The service is good and the price is reasonable.
The hotel is located near the March Central, The central bus station and the Grand taxi station. Despite this close proximity the hotel and the streets around it are calm and NOT busy at all.
once you are in the hotel don't feel the presence of people outside. It is also within a walking distance from the royal palace, the museum and the old Medina. The rate include a good, filling breakfast that is served at the restaurant. The restaurant has a nice view of the Martil Valley below and it is a nice place to have meal or a drink.
My initial impression was that Tetouan has one or two good hotels. I stayed at one of the, the Panorama hotel. The best budget option was Regina, unfortunately Regina was busy and full and I could not see the rooms but I guess it is good hotel. during my last day I foud that there is plenty of budget hotels opposite to the Royal palace on king Hassan square. Due to lack of time, I could not explore and look @ these places. It might be worth checking them out.
a very good option is to stay @ Chauen and travel by grand taxi or a bus to Tetouan for a day visit, this way you'll see for your self if you like Tetouan and find your self a hotel. the trip by a bus or a grand taxi will last less than an hour and will cost you 30 dh.
After a long search for accomodation, I ran into Pension Snzika on some unnamed pathway in the old town. The owner was high on life, mello as can be, and owned a great place. For only a few dollars a night, I had a comfy bed, cold shower, and sweet rooftop terrace.
The views from the top of the roof were priceless.
I stayed @ this hotel for one night than I moved to the panorama hotel. The hotel is ok. I did not stay long enough to pass a judgement. The room was clean and the hotel was quite. The restaurant below serves good breakfast. It will cost you 255 dh for a single room and 305 dh for a double room. The Panorama is a better option.
A big room with plenty of space, everything working ok including hot water and TV.
Only downside, my room was above the restuarant outfront and was a little noisy in the evening but does go quiet for the night sleep.
Good for budget traveller but even better if there are two of you.
Room rate for Decemeber 2008 was 100 dirhams = £8
