a nice place to relax in Casà

I worked very hard during the day in a office witout air conditioned. You can understand how I was happy to come back in my hotel to relax myself.

Unique Quality: Quiet and clean rooms, a good restaurant, a wide hall, near downtown, a clean pool and great food on the pool for breckfast.
Smiling people everywhere inside the hotel.

Too expensive, but nice

Excellent but not worth 4800 DHs (Thursday) or 3400 DHs (Friday) (432 or 306 Euros respectively). The aircon was nice and cool on highest setting! I was in a suite on the 8th Floor, which was all I could get short notice, only went there because the Sheraton was full, and the Royal Mansour was a bit smelly last time I was there... Seems 8th Floor is some kind of business floor, got its own lounge..nice. Mind you, the view was great, straight at the Hassan Mosque and a million satellite dishes! Friendly staff, great room service..had to work, so no time to try the restaurants. Had to leave after 2 nights as my company would never accept these rates normally! If you have the money or your expenses allow, I would recommend it. Oh and of course it has a reputation for a lively bar and night club, but I never got time to try them out...maybe another time.

Unique Quality: View from the 8th floor outstanding, straight at the Grand Mosque.

I would like to sleep there

I didn't sleep in this hotel but I would like (at least one night :-). Hmm... I found a hotel at least 10-125 times cheaper (depends on rooms).

So I wasn't a guest, I was just a visitor there and not only because of urinary bladder alert :-). What did I find inside:
- toilets smelled rather in un-Moroccan style (good haha),
- interior design in Moroccan style looked great,
- hotel staff in local clothes looked at me with smile, rather not like at terrorist, although who knows :-),
- uncovered swimming pool with garden around looked great - unbelievable in the same center of the city,
- Casablanca bar: look at my restaurants tips.

Hyatt Regency Casablanca is located in the center/downtown of Casablanca, in the heart of the commercial district and just 25 minutes from Casablanca Airport.

Unique Quality: Five restaurants and bars with excellent menu, dancing (nightlife) available.

Unique (for Morocco) are prices: the cheapest double room costed (2002 - from internet) 1550 MAD (Maroccon dirhams) = 150 US$.
Royal Suite for 19550 MAD = 1880 US$ (hmm... about 125 times more than my double room :-).

Hyatt Regency.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and to be honest, I didn't think it was up to the best Hyatt Regency standard. Restaurants were good, and breakfast was excellent, though.

Another great hotel here in ...

by Krystynn

Another great hotel here in Casablanca is the beautiful HYATT REGENCY CASABLANCA HOTEL.

This hotel is ideally and centrally located in the heart of Casablanca’s city center overlooking the Medina (Old City) and just 2 kilometers away from one of the world’s LARGEST mosques - the Mosque Hassan II Mosque. Actually, it is just across the street from the Medina! It is also near to the Port and the Atlantic Ocean.

Airport to Hotel

by ajphilly

How expensive is it to take a cab from the Casablanca airport to a hotel (near the souk)? Is this difficult to do? Should we be aware of any dangers or issues? We have the opportunity to book a $60 transfer ($30 a person). Is it better to take the transfer or take a cab?

Je parle francais.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Take a cab, is not expensive. Be sure to have 1 and 5 USD with you, the taxi drivers usually doesn't have small size USD
If not already planned I suggest you to go to HYATT Casablanca.
But check for reservation from your country, the reservation directly in the hotel is more expensive
