join an excursion/ take a side-trip and explore the Ourika Valley located in the High Atlas Mountains near Marrakech. The one hour or so drive there is beautiful and you'd even catch a glimpse of snow-capped mountains (!!) in the distance. You won't regret it, I guarantee.
Hotel Es-Saadi Casino

The hotel complex is huge and within the grounds is a casino and nightclub. Entrance is free but men will need a jacket and tie. While the stakes are fairly high, this casino is not quite as grand as the Mamounia Casino.
Cafe des Espices
by sue_stone about Cafe des Espices
It was our first morning in Marrakech, and after exploring Djemaa el-Fna and amazing over the goods on offer in the medicine sellers & healers souq we were in need of a calming drink.
We stumbled across lovely Place Rabha Kdima, and decided that Cafe des Espices looked like the perfect place to take a break. This small, three level, open-fronted café sits in the middle of the square, making it the perfect place for people watching. The roof terrace offers great views across the Medina. We chose a small sunny table at the front of the café and ordered some drinks – Alison had an espresso and I ordered a soothing mint tea. If you need something to eat you can choose one of their sandwiches, salads or perhaps an omelette
It was a lovely place to relax for a while and watch the market activity in front of us.
Sightseeing in Marrakesh
by DanielF
Although there are plenty of monuments and sights in Marrakesh - palaces, madrasas (coranic schools), graves - the overall aspect of the city is not really monumental. Most of the buildings are quite insignificant as seen from outside and even the interiors can hardly compete with the ones in other places. In Marrakesh, the real attraction is the city itself, its atmosphere and its inhabitants (the ones that leave you alone, that is).
Since most of the attractions are not so obvious to find in the maze of the medina, it is advisable to hire the services of an official guide at the tourist office. He will show you the way through the souks and narrow lanes and provide with explanations on the buildings and traditions of the city. And, most importantly, he will keep away the impertinent adn pesky vendors, beggars and faux guides who otherwise would be following you all the time.
Djemma el Fnaa- afternoon

Around 4pm, the square becomes a hive of activity, as carts arrive bearing stalls and benches etc, accompanied by an army of men who set about unloading the carts, and setting up the stalls, in anticipation of feeding the hoards of visitors and locals who flock to the square for refreshment.
At this stage, I was usually heading back to my hotel, so I didn't get to see the stacks of food being painstakenly arranged into attractive displays.
