Hotel next to the train station Marrakech
by aussirose
We stayed here when we returned from our Sahara Desert trip because we planned to catch the train to Casablanca. In the end we travelled by car arranged by Habib from Sahara Dreams Maroc.
If you want to stay near the central train station in Marrakech then I would recommend this hotel. It is very reasonably priced and the staff are nice. Our room had a cute little verandah overlooking the train station but when we closed the doors there was no noise.
Food here was pretty good and the bar lounges were lovely to relax in late afternoon when things started to cool down. We booked through booking.com and as you can see from the link below, it rates a well placed 7.1 in the reviews.

Hotel Ibis Moussafir Marrakech Palmeraie
by keeweechic
The Ibis is on one of the main routes into the city centre and has 147 rooms, all with airconditioning and wifi internet access. The hotel restaurant (La Restaurant) serves international and Moroccan dishes and there is a bar which is open 24 hours and also serves hot snacks. The facilities include a swimming pool and fitness centre and parking is available to guests.

best mid-range hotel
by iwys
The Hotel Ibis Moussafir is a 3* hotel, with more than 100 rooms. If you are planning to travel around Morocco, it has an excellent location, next to the train station and Supra Tours bus office/terminal and not far from the CTM bus office/terminal. It is especially good for early morning arrivals and departures. Not only that, I found it to be the best of the mid-range Gueliz hotels I looked at, and I looked at quite a few, including Hotel Agdal, Hotel Amalay and Hotel Kenza.
It has a beautiful swimming pool and garden, so I'd recommend getting a room with a pool view. A double room with breakfast cost DH428 per night.
Directions: In Gueliz, next to the train station

Good value 3 stars, with pleasant garden and pool
by stego
Me, my wife and our 8 years son paid about 50 Eur for one night. Like all the Ibis in Morocco, it's very good value, even more in Marrakech, where a search on the web leads you to the sensation that Marrakech is a relatively expensive site.
A note for those families wanting their young children to sleep in the room: they don't pay but they also have no extra beds - they have to sleep on a mattress on the floor.
Unique Quality: Although it's not a big hotel, without much amenities and not much space on the rooms, it seemed a very nice place to stay for a couple of days. It has a nice garden and swimming pool. It's located near an important train station (they are building a newer one nearby), not far from the center, although it's not in any of the main touritic zones of the town.
Interestingly, by the swimming pool you get the sensation that it is a beach hotel.
Directions: Near the train station and the Royal Theatre

Handy for the station
by SallyM
The Hotel Ibis is located in the new town, next to the railway station - convenient for travelling to other places - but a good twenty minute walk from the historic old town.
The rooms have private facilities and there is a restaurant and a swimming pool. Some rooms have a balcony, but ours did not.
Unique Quality: The hotel has all the basics that you need for reasonable comfort, but does not have any particularly outstanding features. We stayed there over Christmas, and found free slices of chocolate log in our room when we returned on Christmas Eve.
Directions: New town, next to railway station

LATE NIGHT ARRIVAL
by negrita-NYC
I am arriving to Casablanca at midnight by train and have a reservation at the Ibis Moussafir. Is it safe to walk form the station to the hotel? I'll be traveling with my husband.

It is very safe. Actually it is exactly next door, both are within the same parking lot. As soon as you get out of the station look @ 2 O'clock and you'll see the hotel.
Don't worry @ all
