Good Hotel but Poor service and staff

I stayed at this hotel with 2 friends at the end of September.

Overall it is a nice and pleasant hotel, the décor is nice and it is clean.

Staff – They let down the hotel in a huge way and I am surprised that the Kenzi Group allows such bad attitudes to bring down their hotel. I have travelled all over the world and never met such rude and arrogant staff. The male staff at reception were extremely rude, they never made eye contact when talking to you, instead they sighed if you asked them anything and then spoke back at us in a very aggressive and shouting manner. They did not want to help or be asked anything. We used to be scared to ask them anything which is not what we expect from any star hotel. The staff at meal times were useless, they didn’t bother serving anyone and when we did ask them for something they took about 30mins to get it. Truely lazy and unacceptable attitudes in my book and they made meal times unpleasant for us.

Rooms – Spacious and clean. We had a balcony which faced the pool and it was nice. Rooms were cleaned daily and to a high standard.

Pool – Pleasant and clean. The pool was a bit cold but it was big. I do not agree with the grass around the pool, I think tiles would be more appropriate.

Food – Breakfast was okay but the same everyday. The pancakes/crepes were nice. The best meal was the BBQ for lunch by the pool, there was a variety of food cooked to a high standard. I found other meals to be boring and repetitive. We were staying on half board so we ate breakfast and 1 other meal there each day.

Unique Quality: Great lounging areas with a true Moroccan feeling.
