La Maison Arabe (Marrakesh)
by SirRichard
A dream cozy hotel, really a background for the "1001 Nights". All the rooms are different, each one has its own name and personality (have a look at the web page). They have a swimming pool for clients but is 30 minutes outside Marrakesh (free shuttle). I didn't sleep there, but passed by and entered to have anafter lunch tea... wonderful!

by aqazi about La Maison Arabe
I chose Marrakech as the place to propose to Nancy and while La Mammounia is probably the most obvious location a look in my giudebook came up with La Maison Arabe. This was a real splurge considering were basing ourselves out of Hotel Ali. Even now I think its the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed at (that I paid for myself i.e non work related). I let the hotel know in advance what I was planning and they were really nice and upgraded our room. We had the hotel restaurant pretty much to ourselves when I popped the question. Unfortunatley we only had enough time/money to stay here one night but if we return we'll come back for sure. Looking back I think the place is pretty good value for money, they offer cooking courses and while we weren't able to use the pool which is out of the city, it certainly looks very tranquille.

Belly Dance lessons in Marrakesh
by jhaque
I would love to take a belly dance lesson with my friends in Marrakesh. Does anyone have any recommendations in regards to a teacher or place that offers this? (This is my first visit to Marrakesh!)
Thanks
J

belly dancing is a middle eastern thing and the tradition is not that strong in morocco.
egypt is the place to go for the real thing.
