Our hotel in MARRAKECH:
We stayed at the superb resort-like Le Tikida Garden Hotel, strategically located in the heart of the 'Palmeraie' and just 3KM from downtown Marrakech. The Moorish-Hispanic architecture of this hotel is simply breathtaking! And to think that this hotel wasn't even our first choice...
We initially chose to stay at the Marrakech Sheraton Hotel but due to the high occupancy rate in the month of October, all rooms had been fully booked. The Le Tikida Garden Hotel was our second choice... and I'm really glad we chose this place by default.

We were originally booked to stay at the SHERATON MARRAKECH HOTEL but the month of October seems to be the peak season right here in Morocco and at the eleventh hour, the hotel just couldn't accommodate us. No matter how much we begged them to! :-((
Our second choice was here - at the LE TIKIDA GARDEN HOTEL... and we were really glad we chose this hotel. Why? Because we were given a junior suite (each!), a huge welcome fruit basket... drinks... Moroccan snacks... everything! They really bothered to pamper us... This Royal treatment didn't just end here. It lasted for the 4 days we were here at the hotel.
Cheaper than the Sheraton Marrakech Hotel. I can't remember how much we paid for it... but I doubt if it's expensive (since I probably can't afford it).
IF you're a member of the Sheraton/ Westin hotel frequent stay program, they do give generous discounts. Membership is FREE. So, why don't you call up your nearest Sheraton/ Westin Hotel to check for more details.
Alternatively, you may like to surf to this FABULOUS website which gives fantastic discounts if you check-in on any given weekend. I've booked rooms via this website before (at the Le Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Paris) and they will reply you within 24 hours. Fantastic!

Photo Below: That's yours truly at the huge lobby of the LE TIKIDA HOTEL. Be careful of the fountain... You can find these fountains at every hotel lobby. I fell into one of these fountains one day whilst I was running late... Sigh. What's new.... Check out the 'Joy' disco/ club here at the hotel. Cool!

Travel from Marrakech airport to Riu Tikida

Does anyone know how much it will cost for 2 of us to travel from Marrakech airport to the Riu Tikida Hotel. We have booked flights and hotel separate.

Your hotel is 13km from the airport, I would contact the hotel and ask them to book transport for you. After you have haggled with the taxi driver you will probably pay the same.
