hi everybody out there!
i'll be soon in Morocco for only a few nights, mainly in Fez and Marakesh.
after searching websites for budget rooms, i found that prices are much more expensive than i expected...
i'll also have a look in guide books, but i like firstly to get vt info!
so, i'm looking for budget room (could MAD 100-150 be sufficient?) in Fez and Marakesh, somewhere downtown (i think...), so i could walk around the sites there.
if you could give suggestions would be great!
many thanks guys
Hi, here are 2 riads in marrakech:
both are near the place djemaa el fna, the first one is quite noysy. The second is near too, but in a small street.
There is a page in english for douzi.
On doha, tarifs , means "rates"
they are in euros.
You can also see them on tripadvisor.
150MAD works out as €13.5 , don't think you are likely to find any room priced that low maybe in a hostel! Prices for a room in a riad start around 40Euros!
!50 DH in Fes - I'll suggest Hotel Agadir in Fes Jdid.
1) get in cab
2) tell them "bab semmareen - fes jedeed"
3) ask your taxi if they know "hotel agadir" - if not, get out at bab semmareen - giant castle ports - don't go inside.
4) ask a local store nearby "hotel agadir?"
5) it is just a few steps from the bab semmareen
It is the cheapest, safest (in regards to the staff, anyway) and most reliable place that comes to mind - though others may have more suggestions.
