Well done Riad Kniza
by TripAdvisor Member TravellingHeavy
From the moment we were met at the airport to the time we were returned we were cosseted and cared for by all we came into contact with at this Riad. The rooms were clean with fruit and flowers provided and the towels were changed every day. We could not have asked for more as nothing was too much trouble for Kamal and his staff.
We have no hesitation in recommending this Riad to even the fussiest of travellers.
riad marrakech
by johnsakura about riad marrakech, riad des droles
this well located riad is right on the middle of the medina just 3 minutes walking from well known jemaa el fna square.
i stayed here with some friends and we rented the house (riad stands for private house, sort of private hotel, basicaly your house but with staff and brekfast), so we rented the whole house for ourselves. we were 8 and payed each about 35 euros or something.
you can rent only a room for one night or for the whole week, again you can rent the house in exclusivity or per day per room.
all rooms are just fantastic, well decorated in traditional style from morocco but always with a french fine taste as the young owner is french. you have well decorated rooms all with private wc, you can use the kitchen although the riad staf, riad marrakech, will be there to help you and serve you.
you have a nice, cosy resting area with dvd, couches, tv, music, magasins, incence candles. in the middle of the riad cloisters you have a water runing fountain.
the terrace open view to marrakech roof tops and mosques skyline.
when you go out of the door, in this ver safe area of the medina you are inside already the fantastic ambiance of the city. riad marrakech, riad de droles will make you want to come back to marrakech. you walk 3 minutes and you are in the heart of the city.
its cheap for the quality you have in the house! even for backpacker that want to relax after a night train to marrakech, this will be your crazy night accommodation, excaping 5 euros hotel, at least do your body and soul a favour in a unique night in this place. 5 euros to 30 euros its only 25 euros difference...for a simple pleasure...

Riad Marrakech - Guesthouse Morocco
by johnsakura about Riad 107
I stayed here for 1 week after I decided to come to Marrakech for a couple of weeks. As for working reasons I has to stay up to 3 weeks and tried 3 new accommodations around Marrakech.
This is a fantastic place where all the house is newly renovated with all the best quality you can imagine.
The owner is a French lady called Mathilde Lemoelle and she takes really good car of the house and along with the staff Simo, Beihja, Alaziza and Siham this was really my house for many days. The decoration is just amazing, blending simplicity, useful concepts and lux. The bathrooms are really nice all with Moroccan Riad style all made in traditional tadlakt which is a special way of making construction. It does look good!
I also tried the massage services that are combined with Hammam which is a Moroccan steam bth that really clean you out, followed by a massage.

Riad Marrakesh Marrakesh is the capital of the South. The wonder of many travellers than even with lots of tourist activity still remains special and unique. Marrakesh was in history for 2 times the capital of Morocco and actually gave the nowadays western name of Morocco. Marrakesh was founded in 1062 by Almoravid Sultan Youssef Ben Tachfinand, and quickly became very prosperous and one of the most important Islamic cultural and artistic centres as it was expanded after the conquest of Spain by the Almoravid Sultan. Marrakesh offers a lot to travellers and Riad des Droles, Riad in Marrakech, recommends you stay at least 3 full days up to a week in this thrilling town. Its famous square, Djeemaa Elfna is one of its main attractions and is a mixture of restaurant stands along with snake charmers, monkeys, acrobats, fire blowers, loud live music and endless Souq gates. Indeed a must while in Morocco!

Riads in Marrakesh
by yanaiguana about Riad Kiass and Riad Mounia
We didn't reserve a Riad in advance, thinking November is off-peak. This allowed us to explore several Riads (some of which were booked) which was an adventure in itselfs. Kiass and Mounia are very close together in the Medina, 3 min walk to the Jemma El Fnaa square with the Souks (markets). Both Riads are gorgeous, have lovely courtyards, orange trees..I'd say Mounia is a prettier one, and has bigger rooms. Gorgeous Views, Orange Trees, Mint Tea and Cookies
Riad Marrakesh
by johnsakura about Riad Aguerzame
This is another great Ryad in Marrakesh. If you wish to excape big hotels and be in the center of the old Medina htis is a great opportunity to get a room or high standard Suite in a private house. The French owners make their Riad your house and will be the hosts of this amazing guest house experience while in Marrakech. From the Riad website:
Located in the medina of Marrakesh, close to Moulay Idriss's Palace, the Riad Azguerzame, entirely restored keeping pure Moroccan traditions, welcomes you to change marrakchi for a night or more. Very easy to arrive and near Marrakesh's main square Jemaa El-Fna, the Riad is just a step away from several palaces and museums in Marrakesh. Riad Aguerzame will make you experience the magnetism of exquisite eastern life. We offer great ambiance in our cool patio under orange trees and several other terraces where you can enjoy the night decorated by stars and mosque's minarets where lit Koutoubia rules.
Mathilda, Antoine and Ambre will host you and propose a different way of staying in Marrakesh. The Riad offers discreet and personalized services, individual and personalized trips and excursions around Marrakesh’s enchantments or discovering outstanding Moroccan landscapes.
Located in a very quiet district of the old Medina, the Riad is only 7 minutes walking from Marrakesh's main square Place Jamaa El Fna and just a step away from Palace de la Bahia and the Museum Dar Si Saïd et Dar Tskiwin; 10 minutes away from the Saadien Tombs and El Badi Palace; The street Douar Groua passing 65 feet (20 meters) away from Riad Aguerzame takes you to Bab Ghemat, heading South to Ouarzazate and the Golf Courses of Marrakesh.

romantic marrakech
by mickeyjane1 about riad alghaliya
This riad in the old part of marrakech, is stunningly beautiful.
Two wonderful people made us feel so welcome , Simo and Emma, Simo Moroccan and Emma (Spanish)
The place was so relaxing, in an excellent location just a short taxi ride to the main square of Djemma El Fna.
I would recommend it mainly to couples because it is so romantic and beautiful, and tastefully decorated.
Singles and families are also well catered for. A small indoor pool, beautiful relaxing seating area.
The rooms are out this world..
Two suites and three bedrooms,
We stayed in two of the suites, the first one having a four poster bed.
Then there is a beautiful roof top terrace, with superb views of the medina.
Breakfast is served when you get up, so there is no setting your alarm the night before, breakfast consisted of pancakes, breads, conserves coffee tea, fresh orange etc
I liked best the personal service provided here, it is spotlessly clean, and very homely.
Met some great people here, and will book to go back definitely.

Marrakesh Riad help
by mitmorr
I am striking out everywhere. I am trying to book a riad in Marrakesh for the middle of March and every time I choose one, it's full. My top two were Dar Silsila and Riad Jonan, but they are full. Could someone please suggest a few riads near the medina and a few outside the medina for 2 adults. We are looking for comfort, cleanliness, and security. I prefer something that is easy to find (for us and taxi drivers). Ideally, I don't want to spend more than $150 a night. Any suggestions from local experts are very welcome. Even if the room rate is a little over our budget, I would be willing to pay for reliability, convenience, and comfort and we certainly don't want anything that could be considered "backpacker" style. I cannot, however, afford the likes of Riad Kniza, Dar Les Cigognes or La Maison Arabe. We don't mind being within walking distance of the medina, so we don't need to be right in the middle of things. At the end of our trip, we would like to stay outside the medina and the bustle.

We stayed at Riad El Sagaya for 5 nights over Xmas and it was lovely.
High season rates were 60-80 Euro/night...not sure if March is still high season.
It is located within the Medina but near one of the gates so easy to reach by taxi. About a 10 minute walk to the main square and off the beaten tourist track.
Very friendly staff, lovely rooms and big sunny rooftop terrace. Tasty breakfast and endless mint tea on request!

I was a bit uncertain as it was very difficult to find any reviews prior to our stay but we loved it!
