A gift.
by belgianchocolate
When you are a really poor bargainer , you will
get loads of gifts. ;-) We got plenty.
In the picture you can see some sort of rasp.
It is used to remove the hardened areas of
skin of your feet. It is made of baked clay.
For your information ,
I don't need it.
I got baby feet ,
size 45. ;:-)
Taxi
by Cool-123
When I got off the train in Tangier, I decided to take the taxi to the port. Because I was travel alone so I talked to the taxi driver and I had to wait until he had got five more passengers. Finally, our taxi had five men, a woman and a taxi driver. The taxi was over loaded. For one thing, I asked the driver how much money before I got into the taxi. I paid only 10Dh. It is fair. It takes around 10 mins from the train station to the port.
Place Jamaa el Fna and around
by zztop69
Jamaa el Fna place is an extrordinary place to visit, especially in the evening and after 6 pm; it's a gathering place for open shows, from sneaks, music, dentists to food....
You can eat there, shop and enjoy the shows
Here are my top places to see in Marrakech in order:
Jamaa Fna (walking evening and night)
Souks (market place) selling carpets copper traditional clothes.....(walking)
Merassa Ben Youssef (in the souks) (walking)
Palace el bahia (walking)
Menara ( get a taxi or horse carriage)
Jardin Mojorelle ( get a taxi)
Bab Agnou (Incident Door to thr Medina, city) (walking)
saadine tombs near Bab agnou (walking)
get a map don't cover all the attraction at once. I will describe each place in a near future.
Water sellers
by mvtouring
These guys are around the Djamaa El Fna Square and sell ice cold water to their customers. I was a bit sceptical so did not try it, not so sure the water was pure. If you do not buy water, you have to pay to take their photo. Told you these guys are sharks.
Marrakech - Jemma El Fna

"Not long enough."
I planned to stay on the square two nights at the beginning of my trip and two at the end. Due to travel complications I only got the two at the beginning. What a good excuse to return.
You don't need to plan things to do around the square, they just happen.
Wander, smell, browse, listen, look, sit, buy, eat, drink, laugh, look in amazement, taste, gaze.
It all happens around the square.
