one of the most beautiful hotels of Marrakech is
the Melia Tichka Salam with a beautiful palm-garden
Pity that the hotel-reception is not the most helpful one..
A dramatic hotel with traditional Moroccan interior, Tichka Salam Marrakech with its elegant facilities and hospitality ensures every guest a memorable stay.
Location
The hotel is located on the entrance to Marrakech, just a few minutes' drive from the city centre, the tourist attractions and the Congress Palace.
Rooms
A must for architecture lovers, the bedrooms are decorated and furnished in a traditional style.
Restaurant
The main restaurant is well furnished and tastefully decorated providing a good selection of international cuisine. The buffet has a fantastic variety of dishes and it is possible to have lunch in the terrace around the pool. There is also a Moroccan restaurant famous for its good cuisine and its unique decoration.
General
Keeping the needs of business guests in mind, suitable conferencing and meeting facilities are also provided at the Tichka Salam. The hotel's recreation facilities include a heated outdoor pool, sauna, solarium, golf and much more.

Tres bel exemple de l'architecture des années 50, le Tichka, situé dans Gueliz est remarquable par son architecture, centrée sur une piscine bleu marine du plus bel effet...Un jardin tres calme, où il fait bon dejeuner entre deux bains... de plus un restaurant de type local, charmant et tres fin.
The Col du Tichka - Tichka Pass - is the highest pass in the High Atlas mountains. It is at an altitude of 2260 m above sea level.
At that very point you have a restaurant and a couple of souvenir shops and a lovely roof terrace with a fantastic view!
On our first trip to Marrakech in 2005 we arrived by train from the north. I remember being impressed by the beautiful landscape as we left Rabat and started getting closer to Marrakech. In 2007, we arrived from the other direction, having driven over the Atlas mountains via the high Tizi n’ Tichka pass from Ait Ben Haddou. This is a spectacular drive with plenty of climbs and switch backs and the views are superb.
