More about Hotel Bouregreg
Simple, sweet, fits quite all right
by JamalMorelli about Hotel Bouregreg
Short stay but the staff was friendly - there is guarded parking and a serene indoor patio cafe to it's credit. The rooms were alright... nothing too special there. I gotta get my jacket back from those cats - left it in my room last visit.
The view I had was not impressive, the rooms were plain.
The breakfast cafeteria was loud, the food typical and uninteresting, nothing was quite ready.
As the Wise Man said of Flaming Poo Pie: "It's warm, though" The staff* was excellent and warm hearted, the lobby and patio are very attractive...they were excellent places for business meetings I held while there. Safe, 'indoor' parking...
*Everyone but whoever inconsiderately stole by Italian tailored suit jacket.

Travel Tips for Rabat
Hassan II boulevard
by JLBG
The boulevard that is lining the Andalous's wall has been dedicated to Hassan II and is called Hassan II avenue. Guess by whom was it dedicated to Hassan II ? By the king of Morocco ! What was his name ? Hassan II…
Local Fish
by keeweechic
In coastal areas where fish is more often used, imaginative cookery adds ginger, cinnamon, sugar, sweet butter as well as incredible combinations of fresh or dried fruits and nuts. There are tagines of fish and seafood, baked fish dishes, poached fish dishes, and a great variety of tiny fluffy fish balls served with many accompaniments of seasoned sauces, fruits, or vegetables.
Couscous, lentils, etc...
by JLBG
In this other shops, what you will find is different : lentils, beans, rice, couscous with different sizes and color of grain. You might want to bring some home. Unless you prefer to buy in the Marjane (see my shopping tips).
Close up to the iron ceiling
by JLBG
This iron cover is very aerial and does seem so light ! Morocco has very clever blacksmiths but they are most of the time on the outskirts of cities as their job is noisy. They do ornamented iron doors and any kind of ornamented iron works. Beautiful, but a bit heavy to bring home !
