With just 40 lodges to accommodate guests and all set amongst palm trees or on the beach front, each with their own piece of the beach, makes this an ideal stop after jaunting around Africa in a car.
There are watersports activities available and for a fisherman, it's a popular spot to say the least.
We felt the food left a little to be desired, although it did not stop us from eating heartily three times a day.
The staff become familiar around the area and so it can feel like home from home if that is what you want.
One thing to note about this lodge is that it is set in a bay and during the day, the tide recedes to some distance away, making it impossible to just go for a dip at any time other than during the early evening at the time we were there.
It is however, possible to walk about 3 miles or so to sit by the sea or take a day trip out.
Stunningly beautiful, peaceful (unless you are in room 1 and the fisherman and staff decide to party), empty beach and lovely rooms Theme: OtherAddress: Bazaruto Island, Mocambique
