Muncipalitate Caravan Park
Camping or Caravan site is located in city centre on Sam Najouma avenue its government run caravan park known as “Muncipalitate Caravan Park”… the rates are 46 dollors per person for camping and 20 dollors for something else also so still it will cost you less than any other place… something must be taken care if camping in keetmanshoop… however city is surrounded by desert and it would seem very dry and hot but the nights and early mornings are very cold so must bring the adequate stuff like blankets etc… there are plenty of hot shower rooms and also kitchen only for dish washings

Megasaurus Camp: Megasaurus Camp is a Great Spot in Keetmanshoop
You can also camp at Megasaurus. We were the only ones there to enjoy the spectacular kookerboom landscape. They have small cabins available, but you can bush camp about 5 km back into the koopies. They have bathing facilities and toilets. Hot water included when the donkey boiler is heated up. It is a great place to relax from the long journeys that are necessary in Namibia inorder to get anywhere.
Rock Hyrax are common. We saw bat eared fox as well.
Unique Quality: Beautiful landscape owned by a really nice family.

Koecherbaumwald Rest camp: Camping at the Quivertree forest
The Campingplace has an excellent siting right next to the Quivertrees.
There are also Rooms in round (asbest-)huts available - but I would rather go for the Campground.
On the ground they have 3 Cheetahs that are being fed in the evening, then you can also go in (if you dare) and touch one...
(I am not going to comment on that).
Unique Quality: Actually they are 2 Quivertree forests around Keetmanshope. Garingas (the one above) is the older one. Located 14km away of Keetmanshope at the C17
The 2nd one is Garas, it has also a Campground, the Garas Quiver Tree Campsite. located 22km north of Keetmanshope at B1.
I would go for the older one, because of the better location of the Campground and because of the Giants Playground next to it. (see tip)
