Xaragu Camp

There are only few accommodations facilities in the edge of the park, visitors cannot stay in over night anyway and as we only drove the southern part of the park we went over to the east side of Damarland and stayed over in this Xaragu Campsite site.
That was very nice and suitable for us as we didn't need to have too long day drive for it. It is a private camp and very nice one. You can almost have your own private shower and the location itself in beautiful.

A random piece of beach: Camping on the Skeleton Coast

We stayed on the Skeleton coast for just one night, it had been a while since we had been on the coast, and arriving on the cold storm Atlantic coast was as atmospheric as can be.

There was no campsite and no facilities, we just free camped on the beach, set up our tents, dug a hole and kicked back!

Falling asleep listening to the roaring waves crash up on the shore was amazing, it was breezy and cold - a pleasant change for the African heat we had been experiencing.

We cooked Boerwurst and mashed potatoes, sat around our bonfire and ate under the stars.

The next morning when we left our truck was stuck in the sand, after much pushing and laying pieces of wood down we eventually left!
