Spitzkop: Camping amongst the rocks!
Spitzkoppe has it's own basic bush camp, set at the foot of Spitzkoppe the mountain and offering basic facilities. There was no shower here, just a long drop toilet.
But it is certainly not the type of place you come for luxury anyway!
Unique Quality:
During the day the heat was unbearable, but as the sunset Spitzkoppe did what it was famous for - looking stunning in the different lights.
Camping in the cold desert night and looking out at an ocean of stars in the sky was amazing.

Spitzkoppe Rest Camp: Namibias most lonesome campground
If you really want to get a feel for the nature and land in namibia, you should come here for a night. This Campground is the whole Spitzkoppe-Area. That means: all the beautiful oarange-red granite, the stone bridges and -paintings, the imposant spitzkoppe-"mountain" itself, and around it very far apart from each other, the camp-sites.
There are no toilets, no showers, no water.
But you have grill-places. Wood you can buy (or collect yourself if you know what to take). Have a nice piece of meat when the sun goes down. Enjoy the scenery.
Unique Quality: Wonderful views
the most clear sky- and stars view ever.

Finding Stone-paintings
...
and no one around
as if you were the last person remaining
in this wonderful landscape.
(just keep away from the stones people want to sell you at the entrance of the park if you don´t know what these stones are)
