There are so many lodging accommodations in Nigeria. You need to ask people and they will show you nice lodging accommodations. Sharaton Hotels, Nicon Nuga hotals, Five star Hotels(Lagos), Premier Hotel(Ibadan)Modotel hotels(Enugu and Imo states), Pastoral Institute hostels (Ibadan), D'Rovans Hotels(Ibadan)Davies Hotels(Ibadan), Imo Concord hotel(Owerri, Imo State) and many others.
In most high class hotels, a night stay price may be as high as =N=5,000 and above (about $60). Others can be less.
The price differs depending on the particular hotel you are lodging in. Five star hotels, Sharaton Hotels, Imo Concord hotels are quite expensive but with excellent services. However, in most of these hotels, you will get nice food, excellent services and hospitable environment. Sorry, but used to live with the family. If you don't know anybody in Nigeria (what would be an advantage), there's the Benin Plaza Hotel in Benin City, where tourists use to stay. Don't forget, Nigeria isn't a tourist country anyway. But it's a must if you like adventurous travel.
There's another nice Hotel outside Benin City in a small town called Abraka River resort. Take Warri - Sapele road from Benin. that will lead you to Abraka (1 - 2 hours driving).
The Abraka River Resort is placed at a river. That's also a nice place to visit, if you lke to swim in the river but under secure cercumstances. There's a branch of the Shell Oil Company right next to it, where the employees of Shell do live. If you go for a first business trip on your own and without the support of an international company, the really first thing to do is to contact your Embassy in Lagos to check if your nigerian counterpart in genuine. A lot of cruckeries occures and can become highly dangerous for you.

Those hotels are of international standards, very good quality and 'in town'.
In Port Harcourt and Warri, don't accept a small guest house as they are frequently attacked by armed robbers.
