My Choice in Lagos

I have traveled to Lagos for business at least a half dozen times in the last four years. I have seen the Eko, the Sheraton, Protea Oakwood, Protea Vic Island, etc. Usually I stay at Protea Oakwood, but this trip I wanted to be close to the airport, and friends recommended trying Protea Leadway in Ikeja, which is about 10 minutes from the airport (absent traffic). One of the things I like about this hotel is the fact that it is not a HUGE volume hotel like the Eko or the Sheraton. It is a boutique hotel (about 30 rooms) with more personalized service. They have very good food compared to many of the other Lagos hotels. The hotel has a more modern design than any of the others listed above, with rooms having hardwood floors, flat screen tvs, neuve baths, wireless, internet, and definitely not boxey. The hotel restaurant/bar is cozy but very nice. The hotel gives you the feeling of quality design. There is also an infinity pool, which is a nice bonus for a small hotel. And they have two good sized meeting rooms and one Large sized meeting room. The staff is happy and helpful. The hotel can even arrange a personalized pick-up from the airport, which is nice for anyone who has been through Lagos airport before. I will definitely stay here next time and would recommend this hotel for anyone needing accomodation in Lagos!

Unique Quality: Airport close, wireless internet, good food, upscale quality hotel design, secure, cozy, comfortable, quiet.
