Wikki Camp: Managable, but should be much better.

  • The accommodation in Wikki Camp is made up of 110 chalets, a student hostel, and acamping ground.

I have used the Chalets on several occasions, and the quality varies from category to category. At the top end you have the presidential suites, which is like what you will come across in a five-star hotel. Complete with state of the art facilities, and cable TV. Actually, the presidential suites are fenced of from the rest of the camp, with a gate at the access. The unfortunate thing is that only very highly placed individuals can lodge in the presidentilal suites, for instance: presidents, state governors, mayors, ambassadors, government officials, and the like. The surroundings within the compound of the presidential suites is also of five-star calibar.

Secondly there is another category which I forgort its name. A Nigerian-Egyptian guy I saw in at the camp showed me inside his own chalet. A single one of these Chalets consists of two rooms of three star quality, complete with a fridge, cable tv, and any other thing you might expect to get from a three star hotel room. Again, unfortunately these particular types of chalets are not open to every body who has the money. Rather, you would have to be a state govenor, or have direct connections to state governors and the like.

Next you have the VIP suite which is were I usually stay. It is far from being VIP, but it does have a/c, fridge, cable tv, two toilets, and a living-room that is separate from the bedroom. Often, not all the facilities are working a hundred percent, but the staff are always able to assist. The remaing categories get smaller and smaller than the VIP chalets, with lesser facilities the lower you go.

At the camp ground there are toilets, and a standing water pipe. Please do bare in mind that the camp is not fenced off from the bush.

There is also a student hostel for educational institutions. As I have not used the hostel facilities I cannot comment on how comfortable it is. However, I have seen it being used on numerous ocassions.
