I stay in hotel Lekarone, it offers different accomodations, rooms with breakfast, half pension and full logies, rooms with or without airco, all rooms have bathroom/toilet with or without hot water, campsite for travellers passing threw the area in there campers or mobile homes, low budget rooms for backpackers and students from 10/15,- euro incl breakfast.
Fishing accomodation, boattrips in the mangroves, birdwatching, enjoy nature, 16 kilometers beach, swimming pool, restaurant/bar, petanque, transport from airport Banjul or Ziguinchor to hotel and back. On the Lodge grounds alone, over 140 - a quarter of all the bird species known in Senegal - different bird varieties have been seen.
Trips are easily arranged - especially along the bolongs (rivers) where the birdlife revels in the backwaters as the mangrove forests gently slide by...
Trips from Gambia or Gambian tours are really easily done - cross via the charming river at Kartong in a dugout canoe (Pirogue). It doesn't get much more laid back than that!
