 | Seychelles Reviews | Tips 11 - 20 of 79 | | When figuring out the details for our accommodations in the Seychelles, I grew frustrated by high prices for hotels that weren't worth the price. I certainly expected to pay a bundle for a room in a country nearly 1,000 miles of the coast of any continent; however, I knew I could find a deal somewhere if I just put my mind to it. Finally, I managed to book rooms for my husband and me at two of the nicer hotels for about half-price. We stayed at both the Hilton Northolme and Le Meridien Fisherman's Cove. Both hotels run about $600-700 U.S. per night. To get the best deal at Le Meridien, open up a Starwood Preferred Guest credit card with American Express (U.S. and Canada residents only). You'll get a coupon that allows you to book a room at Starwood hotels for 1/2 price. The half-price is off the rack rate but it will still save you a least $200/night for your room. I think we ended up paying about $280/night for our 3-night stay at the hotel. You can stay up to five nights at a time with this offer. To get the best deal at the Hilton Northolme, you'll really need to plan ahead. Rooms at the resort can be booked with 40,000 Hilton HHonors points. If you're not a Hilton HHonors member, you can sign up online and purchase 40,000 points per year outright. The points will cost you $.01 each. If you and a spouse both get HHonors accounts, you can each book a night with points and you'll end up paying $400 U.S. per night. Since we traveled in February, I bought points in December one year and again in January, one month later but in the new calendar year. Of course, these prices are still high but compared to $275/night at the Coral Strand, we thought we got some pretty good deals. Stayed at the Palm Beach Hotel in Grand Anse Praslin Paid $200.00 per night bed and breakfast and was not worth the cost Hotel room was OK requested a double bed which turned out to be 3 singles Ceiling fan in room as well as air conditioned No Shampoos or lotions in the room Soap was supplied Towels were poor quality and no shower curtain so floor was wet and slippery when used , but nice Bathtub if you wanted to lie back . Lots of ants in the bathroom but being 20 yards from the beach probably only to be expected . Balcony was nice with better chairs than one ones around the pool and faced west for the Sunset .Pool towels were good TV only two channels mostly all in French Food was expensive 5 euros for a portion of fries however the seafood was good I recommend the smoked marlin for an appetiser Lots of bones left in the fish Staff were friendly Beach not good for snorkelling but when tide went out good for fishing in the shallows for bonefish and mullet Fisherman stopped at the hotel with fresh catches every day including octopus
Good location 5 minutes walk into Grand Anse Theme: HotelPrice: US$180 and up » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: Grand Anse

This hotel is nice and clean but far away from everything, it is in the north side of Mahe Island with excellent views to St. Anne Island? The breackfast is yummy and staff are friendly. A taxi to Victoria will cost about 100RP. and to Beau Vallon beach 150RP.. Better just hang closer to everything. There is only a Chinese restaurant closeby but the hotel has its own restaurant, prices can be higher.
beautiful views, its perfect if you want to go for long walks.. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: least expensiveAddress: Just ask the cabDirections: Cab will know

Ilse Des Palmes "Pirates Cove" chalets are great for honeymooners because of the seclusion. The staff are very friendly & helpful, but the chalets are situated a bit too far from the shops to be the best venue for a self catering holiday.
The staff clean your room and wash the dishes everyday, as well as supply fresh towels & toilet rolls. The area has an abundance of beautiful sea life and some very attractive beaches that you can only get to via kayaks which you can hire from Ilse Des Palmes. I chose AcaJou because it was listed as the most reasonably priced in my travel book, I had no expectation - all I wanted was a nice beach, a clean bed and maybe a pool. What I got at $200 was the best service, beautiful accommodation, beach that is from the Corona ad, comfiest pool loungers as well as dinner and breakfast, served by such great staff and cooked by talented chef. I am inspired to recommend this hotel to anyone who thinks they cannot afford a hotel on this Island. When I did a google search for a hotel, I received so many that were $1000 plus - I really didn't think it was a possibility, now I know. It is on Cote D'or beach, and has a beach bar.
Firstly, when we arrived at 9am, we were greeted and introduced to the resident manager, complimentary cocktails were served (together with fruit and umbrella), while we were enjoying our cocktails, they were getting our room ready, and by 9:15 we were shown our room. Most hotels would not accommodate in this way. As we were inspecting the hotel grounds (beautiful), we were met by the different staff members who were all so proud of their hotel, the pool / beach manager introduced himself, our hands and offered us tips on sunscreen and sandflies. 4 course set dinner was served by attentive staff, it was truly the best experience I have had at a restuarant or hotel.
