ZUURBERG MOUNTAIN INN.
zuurberg Mountain Inn is a haven of historical delight set high up on the Zuurberge, overlooking the Addo Elephant National Park.
In this day and age it is difficult to visualise this mountain retreat as having been on the main route to the hinterland.
The old pass was used by diamond and gold diggers, as well as big game hunters!
Zuurberg Mountain Inn,established in 1861 was not only survived by the Anglo- Boer War, but also natural disasters such as the great fire in 1902 after which it was resurrected and restored to it's former glory.
