THE PIG AND WHISTLE.: THE PIG AND WHISTLE.

Probably one of the oldest pub inns in South Africa situated in the little town in the Eastern Cape,bathurst The pig and whistle was built in 1831\2.

Modest but cosy,The pig in the laidback little settler village .
It stocks a local pineapple cider, dry and potent and without a name ,the cider being a little volatile doesnt travel well.

The resort is 15km from Port Alfred and 40km from Grahamstown and a mere 400 meters from the Big Pineapple.
Bathurst Caravan Park is tranquil and secure and offers caravanners and campers a swimming pool, electrical points and ablutions
