Cape Town
In my opinion, no other city in South Africa can match Cape Town and surroundings when it comes to quality restaurants.
I wrote tips on a few which I visited recently, and list a few here which I visited not that recently.
Blues: A contemporary restaurant in Camps Bay with great views of the sunset over the Atlantic. Very good seafood. The Promenade, Victoria Road, Camps Bay, Tel: 021 438 2040
Beluga: A restaurant where you can enjoy great fusion dishes. Very good seafood and grills. An upmarket feel. The Foundry, Prestwich Street, Green Point, Tel 021 418 2948
Constantia Uitsig: Very good food and a very good wine list. A magnificent setting, with views of the mountains and vineyards. I can definitely recommend this restaurant.

La Colombe: This is currently the no1 restaurant in Cape Town (and most probably South Africa) and on my wish list! Tel 021 794 2390
Blowfish
For magnificent views of Table Mountain and Cape Town, visit this restaurant in Bloubergstrand. It serves great seafood and very good sushi. You can sit at a table or at the belt and watch how the food is prepared.
A good wine list and you can buy wine by the glass.
