Just Curious

by debbiebe51

Is there any way you can confirm that Andrew Coxon owns this chain of hotels in South Africa. I hope to travel there soon, and would like to look him up.

Re: Just Curious

by Jennwtb

I dont know dude but I got this info from zoominfo.com
Andrew Coxon, President of the De Beers Institute of Diamonds, is a founding member of the World Diamond Council and spearheaded this initiative on behalf of the diamond industry.

Maybe this "Andrew Coxon" is being confused with Alan Coxon, a celebrity chef from the UK, who has prominently featured South Africa on his TV shows and has written a book while he was here?

He has a chain located in Europe and South Africa called Holiday Inn.

Re: Just Curious

Holiday Inn hotels are owned by InterContinental Hotels Group, a huge international public company.

Andrew Cosslett is Chief executive of Intercontinental Hotels, but has nothing to really do with holiday inns in SA.

????

enjoy your trip

Travel Tips for Johannesburg

We have gone to the Sunkayt...

by rod25

We have gone to the Sunkayt restaurant located in Rosebank where we have tasted good african food The place i have enjoyed mostly in Johannesbourg was Melville. It's a street fulled with bars, pubs and places where you can really have fun.

Packing List

by sierrak

If travelling to remote areas or away from the city, I recommend wearing boots in the bush. Remember that the wildlife inhabiting the bush are not your garter snake variety. Many of us think of Africa as a hot, dry, dusty place which it is in many areas as well as in the summer. But remember that in the winter in southern Africa it can get downright cold! If travelling in the winter, bring a jacket and some warm clothes! Malaria prevention is important.

Airlines from Asia to Johannesburg

by sarahreynold

Quite a few airlines now fly from asia to Johannesburg in South Africa, and some also to Cape Town. Singapore Airlines has daily non stop flights from Singapore to Johannesburg and also some non stop flights from Singapore to Cape Town. Thai Airways has flights non stop from Bangkok to Johannesburg. Cathay Pacific has a non stop flight from Hong Kong to Johannesburg International Airport. Malaysia Airlines also fly from Kuala Lumpur to Johannesburg and also I think to Cape Town.
