Through Swaziland
"Leaving Hazyview"
By day it was great to see our ?tree house? and before we left we went down to the river behind the property. Apparently previously you could go tubing in the river but there were hippos in it so it was no longer safe to do so. Apparently there was a point where you also had to get off your tube so that you didn?t end up the Kruger!
"Long drive through the Kingdom of the Swazi"
Today was a long day driving, through Swaziland. Other than having to stop at the border and get the stamps in our passport, it was difficult to tell we?d left South Africa. The scenery was pretty much the same, and we didn?t escape from the truck very much. We did see some interesting road side scenes though!
Swaziland has been independent since 1968 and is one of the only three monarchies left in Africa. The King, however, schooled in England.
We did stop on the side of a road for lunch which gave me the opportunity to photo the truck!
"Arrival in Kwazulu Natal"
After a long days drive we arrived in Kwazulu Natal. Our campsite was perhaps the most basic we had stayed in but in a beautiful setting over looking ‘False Bay’, so called as it was a lake, which looked like a bay.
