Hermanus' Best family Accommodation
Our family of five has been staying at Milkwood Lodge on several occasions during the past few years. Sometimes also with other family members. The very spacious luxury cottage, which is extremely well equipped is big enough to occupy a family of 5. We particularly like the generous breakfasts which are varied and never boring offered in the breakfast room with other guests who stay in the guest rooms adjacent to the cottage and in the Main House. The swimming pool is a nice size and the patio with barbeque facilities next to the pool is really a good feature - especially when one does not feel like eating out. The huge garden with protected Milkwood trees and indiginous plants are home to birds and every year when we return there are several owls in the trees. The guest rooms have private patios with direct access into the garden and therefore if several people are travelling together there is no disturbance to other guests as one can move around freely without invading anybody's privacy. Milkwood Lodge is also situated close to several beaches and one can walk all the way into town on the seafront cliff path. If you love playing golf - the Hermanus Golf Course is only 2.6 kms from Milkwood Lodge.
Unique Quality: The location is perfect as it is situated in a residential area with several beaches, all within walking distance. The Fernkloof Nature Reserve is just behind Milkwood Lodge.
All the accommodation is extremely spacious and well appointed - ideal for long stays. The huge garden with swimming pool allows everyone enough privacy or if one wishes to join other guests there are communal patios. Good value for money, outstanding breakfast and superb hosts.
