"On the road to Cape Town"

Took a rest at Kimberley in one of the old street coffee shops.
The city looks really neat. I went there when I drove with a BMW 730 from Johannesburg to Cape Town.

Shortly after leaving Kimberley I ran into a radar speed trap of the police. Imagine going a distance of thousands of kilometers and only 100 or 120 km/hour. It would have taken ages to reach Cape Town. At home on the Autobahn in Germany we speed up to 200 km/h and more, provided traffic allows to do so.

But there in South Africa there were in fact only a few cars on the road and no one was jeopardized.
