Basic Accomodation in the Kruger

We only spent one night in Pretoriuskop in the Kruger as part of our trip, and so I'm not sure how satisfactory it would be for more than a few nights, but the accomodation was basic, clean and functional.

Huts are fairly basic. Rooms had a sink and a fridge (which we turned off due to the noise) in them and towels were provided. Central areas are provided for cooking and washing up, and there are basic but functional shower/toilet blocks.

There are cottages which sleep up to 6 with bathroom facilities, and bungalows with kitchens.

There is also a fully-equipped 16-beddded Pierre Joubert guest house and an 8-bedded Doherty Bryant boma.

On the site there is the following:

Information at Reception
Public Telephones; Post Box
Basic First Aid Assistance
Cafeteria; Shop
Emergency Road Service*
Petrol Station
Laundromat
Communal Kitchens
Picnic Facilities

  • Opinion of Price: less expensive than average
