souvenir decal of Kruger Park Logo

by silverspinner

Many years ago we visited Kruger Park with friends from Johannesburg and really enjoyed it.
At that time I purchased 2 Kruger Park Logo decals. I have used them both and would dearly love to have a couple more.
Please tell me where to inquire about buying more.
Thank you

You may want to contact the Park Service and either attempt to locate a souvenier shop or E-Mail them for information, or even joint their forums with your quiery. Where there is a will there is a way....d:o)

As kids, we collected the decals of the parks that were handed to each car as you entered the gate. But the parks have stopped the handout of these decals many years ago. I think they don't even have official decals anymore.

Search that forum for "sticker" as opposed to decal - turns up a few results.....

Travel Tips for Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park existence

by Clementdavids

The Kruger National Park itself has been in existence since 1926, effectively, in its present form. It is virtually unrivalled in species diversity (both animal and plant), and is a world leader in advanced environmental management techniques and policies. Recent figures indicate that there are some 147 species of mammal, 507 species of bird, and in excess of 1950 plant species in the Kruger National Park...

Photo Safari!

by diver-x

What I loved about Kruger National Park was that everywhere you look there is something beautiful! Whether it wildlife, the landscape or the wildflowers. It was hard to take a bad photograph there! My fondest memory is of just driving along with my new husband, not knowing what's around the corner, but knowing that it would be incredible!

Oliphants River View

by Bwana_Brown

An advantage of game viewing in October, at the end of the dry winter season, is that the waterholes and rivers are all parched. This has the effect of bunching the game up for much easier viewing. Here, the view from the restaurant area at Oliphants Camp shows the yellowish normal width of the river, as compared to the few pools that actually have water in them at this time of the year. While we were there, we watched a herd of elephants enjoying themselves down by the water (it does require binoculars though!). On a couple of occasions, we saw elephants tearing branches off trees as they searched for fresh foliage to eat. Also, we managed to see two instances of very young elephants accompanying the herds. These are always very interesting creatures to watch!

Self Driving

by nichole_521

For those who have never been on a safari you can actually just drive in the wild with the animals! This may seem like a silly ‘tip’, but before we went we just couldn’t grasp the fact that people did self drives in KNP! We figured that it must be safe since others did it! There are great signs throughout the park that lead you to the rest camps. Everything was so easy and worked out great.

Pleasing the locals

by Jenniflower

You might find, when buying something from a local, that they offer you something EXTRA, besides the actual item you have ordered.

Even if you really dont like it or want it, it is rude to refuse it. Accept it gladly. You will leave them with an even bigger smile on their face!
