A very pleasant stay in a relaxing atmosphere. If you do not want to take one of the game drives (which you really should do) there is a good chance you will see some wildlife close up along the banks of the Crocodile River. The hotel overlooks the river and in addition to a small dining area there are comfortable chairs for you to relax in. The lodge also provides binoculars for use free of charge. There always seemed to be a member of staff on hand either to serve foos and drinks as well as point out any animals they had spotted.
The rooms are large and, although a little dated, comfortable. In the cooler months they even provide hot water bottles in your bed at night.
Unique Quality: Buhala is run by a nice lady called Sugar who does everything to make guests feel at home, in fact this is much more like a family home rather than a hotel.
The food was very good, but choice is limited as is common in such small establishments. If you have any requests, just ask Sugar.
