Surfing
by Kurtdhis
In the Mossel Bay area the most popular surfing sports are at Cape Saint Blaize and Die Bakkie. Further east there is often good surfing at Glentana, but by far the most famous surfing spot is at Victoria Bay where the angels of the rocky shore and the incoming waves breaking from west to east often combine to provide unusually long rides.
Diaz Beach

This is the beach in front of Diaz hotel. It is a very long stretch of beach with life guards during weekends and holidays. Because it's not as rocky as the other beaches, it's a great spot to learn to surf. There's also a waterpark next to it and a few restaurants.

"Mossel Bay"
Mossel Bay (in Afrikaans - Mosselbaai) is a small beach side town on the Garden Route. The fishing village is becoming popular with tourists as a destination to stop on the drive. The name Mosselbaai literally means "Bay of Mussels. However the mussels of the bay are now unfortunately mostly gone.
Stopping here on the drive after taking a long time to reach this point from Kroonstad in one day it was a nice place to stretch ones legs, and discovered a variety of cool trinket/gift shops along the main street.
The town at a great point for a stopover if you wish to take a look around, located halfway between Capetown and Port Elizabeth.
As pretty as a picture, I only wish my camera had been working to get some pics of this lovely little quaint village... But take my word for it... it is definately worth a stopover visit.
