Hacklewood Hill Country House.
Port Elizabeth's only five-star graded hotel, this 1898 Victorian Manor House, set in peaceful surroundings, is furnished throughout with period furniture and fabrics. Each of the eight en-suite air-conditioned bedrooms has a private veranda.
The large Victorian bathrooms have separate showers and heated towel-rails. The cordon bleu chef uses only the finest and freshest ingredients for the dinners, which are served in the elegant dining-room where a large brass candelabra is a special feature.
Unique Quality: The English country garden provides a tranquil setting, while a tennis-court and swimming-pool are available for the more energetic guests.
