Here is a photograph of the harbour in Port Elizabeth ,taken very close to where we stay.

I think if i remember correctly the name where the photo was taken is called Lee -Place up on the mountain in Forest Hill near the Fire Station.

There is a walkway path going through the bushes to the beach from there and is the quickest route to the beach as well.

OCEANARIUM

Observe the fascinating underwater world of an impressive collection of fish,from seahorses to ragged toothed sharks.
Daily dolphin presentations will delight visitors as will resident jackass penguins and seals.

Seal and dolphin presentations at 11:00 and 15:00 daily.
Shark dives on Wednesday at 14:30 open between 09:00 and 16:30 daily.
Oceanarium closed between 13:00 and 14:00.

"Lots to Do."

We arrived in PE late at night and only had 1 full day there before we carried on to Plett. We camped for 2 nights at Lungile Backpackers. Port Elizabeth is the most touristy place we saw on the Garden Route but it is still not over run by them. There is a nice beach, a Ocenarium/Museum/Snakepark called Bayworld (the photo is of the seals there) which is well worth the couple of pounds it costs to get in and an entertainment complex called the Boardwalk which has restaurants, shops, arcades, mini golf and a casino.
