Hilton Durban

If you dont mind asking for new towls, shampoos, soap on a daily basis, this hotel is for you. Claim to be five star but stayed at some better three star. Had clothing stolen during stay. Once we left the hotel they just didnt much care as we have heard nothing about the stolen items weeks later. Location is a bit dodgy. Hotel even has to have security off hotel grounds. So be aware when leaving hotel area.

Unique Quality: Good breakfast every morning!

I have stayed at the Hilton on many occasions. The rooms are big, comfortable with great city views (dependent on which side you're on), close to the International Conference Centre and plumb in the centre of town with easy access to the airport, beaches and restaurants. It also has an excellent hair saloon on the premises. Beds are big and comfortable with very thick towelling gowns! Room service is quick and excellent. One drawback is that parking in the garage is always full and one has to really drive around to get a spot.

Unique Quality: The Rainbow Terrace restaurant has an excellent menu and the bar on the ground floor is also a live music venue which means it can get pretty hectic in the reception area.

A typical first-rate business hotel. It is conveniently located next to the ICC conference center: you don't have to venture out onto Durban's mean streets to get there.
About a 5 minutes' taxi ride to the beach front.

The 327 room Hilton Durban is a business hotel located next to the world famous International Convention Centre. It is within easy reach of the business district, as well as within walking distance of the beaches. All guest rooms enjoy a breathtaking view of the coastline and the city skyline.

The Clubroom serves the rooms on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th floors. The Clubroom has full check-in / out facilities, offers breakfasts, teas/coffees throughout the day and a cocktail hour.

The Rainbow Terrace Restaurant features a mix of international cuisine with local flavours. The Rivets Bar offers a wide range of entertainment during the week.

The hotel's staff is always helpful and friendly... nothing is too much too ask.

Ideal hotel if you are wanting to watch cricket, as Kingsmead Cricket Stadium is just acroos the road!!

Unique Quality: The hotel is still quite new, so the decor is still crisp and the rooms are very modern.

The reception area and lounge areas are also great.
