A hostel in a safe area
We booked 3 nights in the dorm. The hostel itself is very nice. Its clean spacious has all the fcilities you need (e.g. safe, kitchen, bar) but we found the people there a little unfriendly. They made no attempt to speak and we often using the kitchen. The pool area is good and there is a grassed garden for sunbathing.

Fun
Nomads, it is clean, has cheap rooms, is in a safe neighbourhood and has a good bar with cheap beer! What more so you need! You also get locals drinking at the bar which makes a change from meeting fellow backpackers! It also has a pool and a pool table.

Fabulous Backpackers
This is an awesome backpackers. There is a common area with comfy seats where you can meet other backpackers from all over. It's on the Baz Bus route, off the local city bus route, and down the street from the Musgrave Mall and a few good restaurants. There is Internet Access. Hostel has dorms, doubles and singles.
Unique Quality: There's a pool, internet, and a laundry service is provided. They will arrange pickup from a nearby hotel. If you are coming from the Durban airport this is very helpful, a free bus will take you to the hotel from the airport. Whejn I was last there they had just bought the adjacent building and continued to expand the hostel (which now resembles a fenced in home with a back yard and front yard) They will soon have (unless they allready built it) a full bar in the back yard next to the pool. rGreat location
