Whaleback Cottage: Stone cottage 20m from the beach

This self catering cottage is 20m from the beach. It is a beautiful stone building that can sleep 13 people in 6 bedrooms. There is a very well-equipped kitchen, sufficient bathrooms, and 2 lock-up garages. The house has wooden deck outside with a braai area, and a blue blue pool set into this deck with great views of the beach (see picture). A large garden with streliztia (banana) plants stretches out in front of the deck, and it is just over the rocks to get to the beach. There is a choice of 2 beaches - one can be seen from the photo of the pool. This is to the South of the house. To the north of the house is another long beach which leads to the lagoon and river. There are paddleboats available for hire there, and a great waffle/pancake restaurant (another tip..)

The interior is comfortable, clean and neat.

Booking is through "Bills Best".

Unique Quality: We DID see a whale, but it was just a hump in the water far away. If you want to, you can park your car and not drive anywhere for a week.
