Christmas Bay Bed & Breakfast: Sheffield Beach
In October 2008 we stayed there only the first night after our flight from the UK, but it was just what we needed.
After the cramped airplane we had a nice large room with a good-sized bathroom and comfortable beds. The property is built right on the cliff and a path leads via some steps down to the beach. It was a bit windy down on the seaside but the wind blew all the cobwebs away and made us feel human again.
The next day was very still and the breakfast was delicious. After a short lounge in the garden we drove to our next stop in St. Lucia.
I can highly recommend this property if you want to get away from it all and wish we would have chosen to stay at Christmas Bay B&B on our last night in South Africa as well.
There was a pool in the garden. The property was secure and guarded by two big boxer-type dogs, which seemed very soppy, but I didn't want to get on the wrong side of them.
