Nosob Rest Camp: Nossob, The Best Camp Ground In the Kalahari
Nosob Restcamp is one of three camps in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. It is located on the central part of the park on the boarder of Botswana.
Accomodation here includes, camping, huts, as well as spacious well equipped cottages with kitchens.
The camping facilities are quite nice as expected in South Africa. The have:
braiis
bath and showers
dish washing area
laundry
outsided lighting
The camp is just outside the main fence into the park. There are jackals storming the camp grounds so you must watch your food and keep your tent zipped up.
It gets quite cold here. Bring plenty of blankets if you are camping or have the appropriate sleeping bag rating. It was -6 Centigrade in July.
Unique Quality: Nice location on the Nosob River.
The most unique quality about this restcamp is the fantastic blind over the Nosob River. It is lit during the night and is accessible 24 hours a day.

Twee Rivieren Camp: Two River's
Twee Rivieren Restcamp is one of three camps in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and is the also the main gate to the park. It is located on the South side of the reserve 270 km North from Upington.
Accomodation here includes, camping, huts, cottages, as well as spacious well equipped cottages with kitchens.
The camping facilities are quite nice as expected in South Africa. The have:
braiis
bath and showers
dish washing area
laundry
outsided lighting
The camp is just outside the main fence into the park. I didn't see or here of any nuisance animals like jackals storming the camp grounds.
It gets quite cold here as the camp is low in a dry river bed. Bring plenty of blankets if you are camping or have the appropriate sleeping bag rating. It was -6 Centigrade in July.
Unique Quality: This is the only rest camp with a swimming pool and a restaurant called Lapa Restaurant.

Mata Mata: Real Desert Feel at Mata Mata
Mata Mata Restcamp is one of three camps in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. It is located on the West side of the park on the boarder of Namibia (no boarder crossing).
Accomodation here includes, camping, huts, as well as spacious well equipped cottages with kitchens.
The hut (really a trailor) we stayed in was nice but power was turned off at 10pm. You need a torch until 5 am if you need to use the bathroom. And there is no heat during these times as well. Really our hut was an icebox. Make sure you have plenty of blankets no matter if you are a camping or staying in a hut or cottage.

Molopo Kalhari Lodge: Gateway to the Kalahari
The Molopo Kalahari Lodge is a wonderfully equipped facility consisting of 10 en-suite rondavels, 10 en-suite chalet rooms, 4 upmarket apartments fitted with sleeperwood furniture, a reception lodge with gourmet restaurant, a lively bar, and a parlor and it is reasonably priced.
Unique Quality: In addition to the more than 68 available beds, there is a full camping facility with ablution block, a large thatched-roof lapa for open air parties or conferences, and an outdoor bar by the pool.

Twee Rivieren is situated right at the entrance of the park giving ample of opportunity to explore the park on both the South African and Botswana sides.
